Sally and Andrew’s story: “We met 4.5 years ago at an Alice in Wonderland themed house party hosted by my bridesmaid Steph in Wimbledon. Sally was dressed as the Queen of Hearts and Andrew as a playing card the two of clubs. After much merriment and a fair few tequila pipettes we got chatting and everything led on from there…
“Andrew proposed to Sally at Jökulsárlón (try saying that after a few drinks) in Iceland (country, not supermarket). He surprised her with a weekend away and waited til near the end to pop the question. The next and final night of our trip we caught a glimpse of the awesome northern lights.
“Our wedding is at Sally‘s childhood home – the farm! We’re having the reception in Sally‘s favourite field, Wilkes, where she’d have tea parties under the tree. Colourful and fun countryside is how we’d describe the day.
“We met Anna at a friend’s wedding, Sally was bridesmaid and after spending 10 minutes was in love with Anna’s personality, so infectious and asked if she was free in September, even before we saw her photos we knew we wanted Anna to be a part of our day. She was a great laugh and we were actually sad when she left the wedding as it was like a friend leaving!
“We’re really looking forward to getting back to the farm with great friends and family, playing some games and watching the fireworks under the stars.
“We made the placenames ourselves (500+ petals) and Sally‘s mum (Jean) made over 100 metres of bunting! Plenty of wooden pallets too (you’re unlikely to miss them). Andrew’s great-aunt Marilyn made our wedding cake. All the confetti cones and petals were made by Sally, her mum and sister…. complete with bride and groom pegs (which probably no one will notice).
