A flashback to summer for you on this February day! Aliki and Martin got married at Brighton Pavilion and threw the party at a local village hall in a park. They had fairground games and an ice cream truck – it was a perfect summer wedding.
The fairground games were a massive hit – they even came complete with a girl in a huge pink wig. Everyone had a lot of fun and it perfectly filled the time between the ceremony and the dinner. And provided lots of fun photo ops for me!
Village hall weddings are perfect for budget DIY weddings, as they’re a blank slate that are usually pretty cheap, especially if they don’t usually do weddings. You can often do your own catering and bring your own booze too.If you’re having a village hall wedding, check out Pippa and Bex’s Iford Village Hall Wedding in Brighton, Dilys and Ben’s Battle Village Hall wedding and this summery Lewes and Barcombe Village Hall Wedding in Sussex.
