How could I not shoot a wedding that started with an email like this?
“I’m having my dress custom-made, and it’s not gonna be white/ivory/a boring toilet roll cover – helllllll NO! He’s gonna be in a kilt, and quite possibly wearing the jacket from the My Chemical Romance “Welcome to the Black Parade” video. We’re looking at procession of hooded monks with torches walking the cake the length of the chapel; a temporary tattoo stand for adults and children alike (as MY tattooist indicated that he didn’t think he’d get enough work on the day to make hiring him worthwhile for us); table centres consisting of vintage teapots full of posies and silver crowns.”
Emma and Mark got married at All Saints Chapel in Eastbourne. They planned one hell of a party – a proper carnival wedding, with firebreathers, angle grinders and The Dress to End All Dresses.
