This was my first time photographing a wedding at East Quay in Whitstable, and now I’m obsessed with the place – it’s gorgeous!
I feel so lucky to live in this beautiful part of the country – every day (hmm, well almost…) feels like holiday. It felt especially summery at Becca and Graham’s October wedding, who got married at East Quay in Whitstable, which is just down the road from me now! It started off with Graham and his best man turning up to the ceremony on a tandem bike and finished with a sparkler frenzy.
Becca and Graham are so lovely – they live in Kent with their springer spaniel Jasper, and they couldn’t be nicer people. At the end of the night Graham made sure I had some fish and chips (we’re not talking a little canapé here, I mean full on fish and chips) and I rocked out on the dancefloor (complete with fish tank, randomly) with the bridesmaids, who kept the party going strong. I have to admit to doing that terrible thing that all photographers hate to do, but I hope these guys are glad I did when they see the results below – I pulled them away from their dinner to catch the sunset – but it was a corker. I then made them walk through ankle deep mud (from a distance I thought it was sand, I swear!) for a photo, but Becca and Graham are totally adventurous and mad and had no problem getting dirty. I loved this wedding and I feel so happy when I look through the photos.
I hope you enjoy these beautiful East Quay wedding photos!
