Summer countryside wedding at Gaynes Park // Casey + Perry

Funny story: When Casey and Perry booked me for their wedding I had no idea that they knew my brother Howard (and they had no idea I was their mate’s sister). When they announced their engagement, Howard said to them “my sister’s a wedding photographer, check her out” – and Casey and Perry replied “no thanks, we’ve chosen our photographer, we booked Anna Pumer and we don’t want anyone else!” “Erm yeah Anna Pumer is my sister!” It also turned out I knew the groomsman from 16 years ago, completely unrelated to my brother. Small world. I’ve snuck a pic of Howard in, see if you can spot him! I reckon we look alike…

Casey and Perry got married at Gaynes Park in Essex, a countryside wedding venue with an orangery, beautiful gardens and (at this time of year) a stunning long grass field for sunset photos. These guys are totally gorgeous and crazy and fun. As the photos go on into the night you’ll see…

They had boozy snowcones, cigars, connect 4 and croquet in the afternoon and a pizza van (yum!!) in the evening. And Casey was one of those awesome brides who didn’t care about getting her dress dirty – in fact she climbed a gate (that was completely unlocked) and laid down in the long grass. By the end of the night her dress was dragging around about 5 glasses worth of broken glass around the dancefloor. It was a sight to see… In fact, there’s a photo at the end 😉
